Message - [2007-11-09 09:38:30] I always say & will forever say that, it matters not when or even where Jesus was born, as long as he did and as long as he died on the cross to save a sinful soul like mine. As one song writer said, " If Jesus neva come, den di whole wide world wudda dun, and all di ham an di turkey di puddin an di cake wi wudda eat dem widout much fun". For decades now, our focus has been geared solely towards when Jesus was born, some might even argue where he was born. But I think its time we move away from that form of 'thinkaciuosness' and focus on what truely matters ( He was born). We ought to focus on the true meaning of christmas and cease from giving credit to people who twist our minds and allow us to think that christmas is really pagan celebration. For me, the very fact that Jesus was born is enough to celebrate. Considering this is the time that some people deviate from the true meaning of the season, as true christians, we should capitalize on the oppurtunity to spread the gospel to the lost and dying. Afterall, that should really be our duty for this time of year. (Wendell, as it is, a lot of thought went into that song. It is one of those songs that allow us to really sit and think about certain things in life. I love it. Large up yuself and much credit to you on a job well done. Oh and for me this christmas, Im just looking forward to spending a great time with family members who will be visiting from abroad. Im also looking forward to CANTATA at church. Its always good. Thats basically it.

Well no, for me since I've become more mature it's jus a time when we max out d credit cards and worry how we goin to pay it off come January. It wasn't always like that 4 me...i was young(er) once... I used to run to buy gifts for mom and dad, be happy about baking the huge pig thigh and the fruit cakes and making the sorrel esp. with rum... was never a christmas tree person...nor lights - mom said JPS would be getting more than they should neway and we didn't need to add to it. Yeah it was lookin fwd to Canata at church..singing on the choir... being involed in putting the show 2gether and seeing it happen... but was it ever about Jesus? thinking abt it now it was probably 10% Jesus' birth. Everything else was about ...... nothing. I think it's for us a representatives of Jesus here on earth, to really shift the paradigm and bring back (if it was ever here, maybe i'm too young know) the true reason for this breeze. Nuff said... A Jesus filled Christmas to all ya'll. Everyday try to remind yourself by whatever means necessary (put it in ur PDA / phone appointments, email it to your friends, stick it on yor mirror, whatever...) that Jesus why there is Christmas.
